The wife is furious, our neighbor baked some cookies?

When she came over all she had to do was hand them to my wife, but she handed them to me and my wife is breaking dishes. I don't see any harm, but last week it was half of a meat loaf she baked. She is just friendly, but the wife thinks other. How do you deal with this?
