Losing weight to get rid of laugh lines?

Ok so I'm 22 and I have these annoying laugh lines that make me look like I'm 60. They go from the corners of my nose down to my mouth. They look even worse when you look at my face from the side. I don't want to get costmetic injections, and I'm too young for a facelift. I heard that creams dont work at all .. Does anyone know anything else that might work? I'm not overweight by any means, but I thought maybe if I lost a little weight in my face they would tighten up. Help!
