Whats the deal with left handed infielders?

Seriously. Im the best infielder in my age group of like 40 kids by a long shot, never make errors, but i never get a chance because I'm left handed. People think there is some sort of calling for me at pitcher because im left handed. I cant pitch for my life and im not an amazing outfielder. Im a pretty good catcher too but I dont like it. But how can I get these coaches to give me a shot to play infield with me being left handed?
