I have tried baking spelt bread in my breadmaker and the result is a loaf about 9 cm high.?

The breadmaker's pan is 13 cm deep. When I bake a wheat loaf it comes right to the top of the pan - sometimes above. Have tried about 4 different recipes and the typical result is about 9 cm high. Some have collapsed down to that height. I really want a 13 cm high spelt loaf. Help!
