Does sciatica ever just disappear with age?

i have the worst sciatic pain in the world. don't bother giving me exercises they don't work. my first discectomy helped a bundle, the epidural injections did nothing. im 24 and the pain shows absolutely no signs of going away. im i going to die an old man with this pain or might it some how disappear as my body wears away?
